Our Exhibits and Programs

CHAIM 20™️ | FOR LOCATIONS WITH FLOOR SPACE

PHOTO

CHAIM 20™️ is our primary traveling museum for schools and organizations. It features 18 stations taking the visitor on a journey that begins with pre-WWII and concludes with the actions being done in the 21st century to (a) pledge to never forget and (b) continue widespread education. These stations are highly detailed and contain a combination of historical and modern documents, physical paraphernalia and regalia, videos, slideshows, audio stories, artwork, and much more.

CHAIM 20™️ is perfect for spaces that allow tables and display stands to be set up for an extended period of time, such as in a school library or a community center. It’s specifically designed for 6th graders through adulthood. For school-aged kids, we have a self-guided tour and fact hunt that requires the kids to engage with the content, and adults can easily follow the path with or without a docent. Younger kids can also experience our museum in the children’s Holocaust library.

This exhibit has been continually updated, improved, and expanded since its launching in 2007 at Congregation Beth David in Saratoga. Its reach has spanned the entire San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.

CHAIM ON THE WALL | FOR LOCATIONS WITH WALL SPACE

PHOTO

CHAIM On The Wall is ideal for those locations that cannot allow for long-term floor and table space. While maintaining the idea of the 18 stations, it still allows the visitor to be taken through a journey, mostly using images, historical documents, artwork, and text. We are also implementing an audio part of this which is currently in the works. This is great for long hallways, library study rooms, or other locations where there is heavy foot traffic.

CHAIM On The Wall is displayed in a way that whichever poster you start at, you can still understand how the Holocaust unfolded. Highlights of the content in CHAIM 20 is featured in CHAIM On the Wall, and all the content of CHAIM On the Wall is featured in CHAIM 20.

This exhibit was designed in 2018 to increase our potential reach. Thus far, we’ve displayed it at Jewish Community Centers and libraries. Like CHAIM 20, it is continually being updated and improved.

Project Spotlight

Especially during Covid, we’ve been looking towards virtual programs. Project Spotlight has two avenues to achieve this.
